Dawbuts Price List

Standard Tests

Our standard tests are conducted using McMaster slides. Results are reported at 50EPG for sheep, and 20EPG for cattle. All prices listed are GST inclusive.

Price List: List

Individual

$120.00

15 samples counted individually. Ideal for mobs that haven't been tested before. Know the average and range of worm egg counts within a mob. Best for breeding animals, general monitoring, and when conducting a Pre-Test prior to starting a Drench Resistance Test.

Individual + Larval

$180.00

15 samples counted individually as mentioned above. Worm eggs are cultured for 7 to 10 days and identified so you know the type of worm present. The larval aspect is critical for drench decisions and checking for resistant worms. (Note: if the average worm egg count is under 100epg, a larval will not be conducted as not enough larvae will be seen to give an accurate species percentage.)

Pooled

$60.00

15 samples, pooled into 3 groups (5 samples per pool). This gives the mob average, as well as an estimate of the range in a mob. This test is good if wish to have just a rough idea of worm burdens in your flock or paddock.

Pooled + Larval

$120.00

15 samples pooled into 3 groups, as mentioned above.

Horse Tests

$40 (1st), and then $15 (thereafter)

We individually test as many horses as you sample. Results are reported @20epg. The first horse tested costs $40, and each horse thereafter costs only $15.

ASBVs

$6 per head

Each animal sampled receives a worm egg count. You will be required to name/identify each animal as it is sampled so we can tag the results to the correct animal. The average egg count required to start an ASBV is 300epg across all the animals participating. (We recommend that you pretest before starting to avoid wasting the effort if your average is too low.)

Sensitive Tests

Our sensitive tests are conducted using the Mini-FLOTAC method.

Price List: List

Individual (MF)

$180.00

15 samples counted individually. Know the average and range of worm egg counts within a mob down to very low levels. This test is best for cattle monitoring and post-drench checks only.

Individual (MF) + Larval

$240.00

15 samples counted individually. Worm eggs are cultured for 7 to 10 days and identified so you know the type of worm present. The Worm ID (larval) is critical for drench decisions and checking for resistant worms. (Note: if the average worm egg count is under 100epg, a larval culture will not be conducted as not enough larvae will be seen to give an accurate species percentage.)

Pooled (MF)

$85.00

15 samples, pooled into 3 groups (5 samples per pool). This gives the mob average, as well as an estimate of the range in a mob with very high accuracy. This test is ideal for monitoring worm burdens in your flock or paddock at low levels.

Pooled (MF) + Larval

$145.00

15 samples, pooled into 3 groups.

Extra Tests

Separate to our normal tests, we conduct a couple of extra tests on your samples to help you with the health of your animals. Included here is our first complete test bundle.

Price List: List

Fluke Sedimentation

$80.00

A sedimentation test to check for the presence of liver fluke and/or stomach fluke. This test only detects the presence of eggs and therefore only indicates if adult fluke are present. Fluke egg excretion from animals is pulsatile, and results are reported as either positive or negative.

Worm ID

$75.00

Worm eggs are cultured for 7 to 10 days and identified so you know the type of worm present. Worm ID is critical for drench decisions and checking for resistant worms. (Note: a larval culture will not be conducted if your previous WEC was under an average of 100epg as not enough larvae will be seen to give an accurate species percentage. The only exception to this is when conducting drench resistance tests and the "Works Burger")
